As a follow-up to the introduction on stop-motion animation I created previously, here is a page I’ve put together on my favourite part of this craft – the model making!
Animation puppets are made up of a ‘skeleton’ (called an armature) and then various materials built up around the outside of the armature – such as polymer clay, foam and epoxy putty. It’s a great craft to look into, and a brilliant way for people to make movies with very little space – and you can do it on a budget too!
