Canadian Hand Smocking

I just bought a lovely silk dress off Ebay this week (I’m ever so slightly Ebay obsessed :-/), and it had gorgeous soft and squishy smocking at the top. So I searched for the technique on the internet and – hey presto! – I found it and it’s Canadian, not English, smocking. Isn’t it fab?!

To find out how it’s done, go here. An example of a seriously gorgeous dress using Canadian smocking can be seen here
